The BJCC team is pleased to welcome Daniel S. Hawkins, who joined us in the fall of 2018.
Daniel was born and raised in Berks County, graduating from Fleetwood High School. He recognized his passion for healthcare early on, earning both his Bachelor of Science in Medical Studies and his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at DeSales University.
While at DeSales, Daniel volunteered at the university’s free clinic, serving patients from the Allentown Rescue mission. He also served as a mentor to disadvantaged high school students, promoting the value of higher education.
Enjoying many sports and playing soccer throughout school, Daniel became interested in sports medicine. During his clinical rotation in orthopedic surgery, Daniel knew that he wanted to pursue his career in orthopedics. After graduating and passing licensing exams, Daniel was excited to join the Bone & Joint care Center team. He is responsible for seeing patients in the office, providing both pre- and post-operative care, and assisting Dr. Longenecker during surgery. Daniel is eager to provide exceptional and compassionate healthcare in every patient encounter. He feels honored to work with such an incredible staff and patient population.
Daniel is a member of the Pennsylvania Physician Assistant Society (PSPA) and the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA)
Outside of the office, Daniel enjoys spending time with family, hiking, kayaking, hunting and fishing.
